Panagiotis Kampylis (/panayiotis kabilis/) received his BA in education from the Faculty of PrimaryEducation of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, in 1990. In 1991 hereceived a Diploma in the Theory of Music from Apollonian Conservatoire of Athens and in 2003 aDiploma in Education for refresh training from the Maraslio Didaskalio, Faculty of Primary Educationof the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has been a primary teacher since 1994. Heconducted his Ph.D. research at the Cognitive Science and User-friendly Information TechnologyStudy Line of the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems of University of Jyväskylä, Finland under a scholarship of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation. The title of hispublished dissertation is “Fostering creative thinking – The role of primary teachers”. He hasauthored and co-authored several articles in scientific and pedagogical magazines in the fields ofcreativity, music education, ICT-based learning, and e-learning. He is member of many internationalprofessional societies, vice-president of the Greek Association of Primary Music Education Teachers,associate editor of the Hellenic Journal of Music, Education, and Culture and member to theeditorial boards of Approaches: Music Therapy & Special Music Education and Mousiki se protivathmida (Music in the first grade). He is currently headmaster at the3rd Primary School of NewPhiladelphia, Greece.
