Highest institutes during the Byzantine period and the Πατριαρχική Μεγάλη του Γένους Σχολή after the fall of Constantinople

The writer briefly presents the history of the highest institutes in Constantinople from the Great Constantine's time, who establishes the Great College of Education, the phases of the School Building during Fokas ( t 610), Iraklios, the Ecumenical or Theological Patriarchical in the reign of Patriarch Sergios and Leon Isavros, the re-establishment of the School Building from Vardas, the appearance of the Imperial or Royal School of Alexios Komninos, the University in the area of Ag. Apostolon Church and finally the Great School of Genadios.
