Abstract:
At least for analytical purposes, one might consider a kind of currency that is composed of USD, Euro, Yen and GBP, such as equivalent to one US Dollar around the start of the new millennium. Introduction of this “NMC” is here discussed because there is a need for some kind of international yardstick in view of the volatility of the main currencies at present. It will be shown how one might use it to be more precise on the volatility of the before mentioned currencies and how one also can applicate it in different directions.
