Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to explore how entrepreneurial strategies based on co-operations can enhance the competitiveness of micro and small enterprises (MSEs). It furthers determines factors that can lead a cluster both to its success and to its successful transition into a multi-participial company. The findings conclude that the basic elements for a successful cooperative approach involve: geographical proximity, trust, innovation, diffusing knowledge, competition, the role of the government, universities and research institutes, participatory management and new technologies.
