Abstract:
The Sticherarion Sinai 1234 was copied in Venice in 1469 by the renowned Cretan unionist priest Ioannis Plousiadenos. It is decorated with 24 miniatures, which, despite their place of reproduction and the pro-western standpoint of the copyist, follow Palaiologan models and confirm the belief that the iconography of the Cretan School had already been crystallized by the mid 15th century.
