Abstract:
In this paper we examine the development of the Press in Greece at the last 25 years and the special case of the Sports Press, using the number of Mass Media publications titles -circulation- readership. The broader aim of this study is to prove that the development of sports newspapers is different than the general course of Press. Sport Press is approved to be a steadfast value in the reading public ’s preference, while circulation and readership of the political Press are falling with an equally fast rate.
