Abstract:
We examine Cornford’s view on Anaximander’s cosmological scheme and we try to prove that this scheme is consistent and sound given the contemporary ideas about the concept of order and the way complex entities are formed and finally disintegrated according to the laws of nature. Anaximander is right in adopting some fundamental principles according to which nature functions.
