Abstract:
This paper looks at the current level of implementation and possibilities for further improvements of e-government in Croatia. Given a brief history of e-government implementation in general, and in Croatia in particular, we do not have long and firm historical record. Thus, we analyze the issue given the available experiences along with the comparative analysis to several Central and East European countries (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia). By doing so, we trace actual progress being made in implementation of information and communication technologies altogether and use of e-government and its potential in particular.
