This paper (OECD Macroeconomic Forecasts for Greece. An Evaluation of the Private Consumption Prediction) examines the accuracy and the forecasting properties of the OECD forecasts with respect to the macroeconomic magnitude of private consumption in Greece. A number of various statistical measures accuracy are computed as well as a comparison is made with competitive naive and time-series predictions. Our analysis shows that the OECD forecasts are generally superior to the most of the naive and time-series predictions).
