Abstract:
The empirical work reported here was aimed at investigating Crete’s fundamentalattraction elements; six factors related to Crete’s image were identified andexamined in terms of their significance in predicting and explaining its overallimage. While analysing the factors, ‘seaside activities’ was determined to be themost significant factor in identifying Crete’s overall destination image. Throughrelevant factor analysis and subsequent multiple regression analysis, it wasestablished that highly rated destination image dimensions may be among themost important ones influencing the destination’s overall tourism image.Management implications are discussed and recommended.
