Abstract:
The reasons for the deficient performance of Ionian Islands tourism in terms of incoming revenues expressed in USD and return on equity capital invested on hotelsis explored. The answers to the questioner of management of the hotels surveyedwere analyzed with the use of the Decision Tree tool. The issue of competitivenessof the tourism product was assessed. The development of alternative forms oftourism is proposed as a means of improving competitiveness and restoringsustainability in the sector.
