Abstract:
First of all, there is an attempt to illustrate the reasons that show the necessity for early support intervention and the role of the "crucial phases" of development is particularly highlighted. The process of early support intervention is drawn and the definition all the necessary concepts is attempted. An emphasis is placed on the importance of prevention (primary, secondary, tertiary) and the corresponding support intervention. There is a reference to the importance of inter disciplinary and systemic approach in dealing with the problems of people with special needs, with regards to abilities and weaknesses. The importance of the family involvement in the processes of prevention or/and support is also highlighted as well as the role of the parents in the cultivation of positive and favorable conditions which are prerequisites for development. Finally, it is clarified that the results of early support intervention are influenced more by the quality rather than the quantity of the relationships developed among the participants.
