Abstract:
The for presentthe teachingstudy discussesof basic the multiplication formation and factst he to implementation a group of 24of an students alternative with procedure Learning Disabilities. Keystones of the procedure are: the emphasis on the conceptual understanding of the basic facts, the utilization of mnemonic techniques for the improvement of precision and speed of facts recalling, the specific measures for securing the facts' maintenance and generalization andthe use of observable and measurable criteria in the formulation of the program's objectives. The considerable improvement in the precision, speed and adaptive use of the basic multiplicationfacts shown by the students at the end of the intervention confirmed the procedure's effectiveness.The alternative teaching procedure is timely undemanding and cognitively simple enough in order to be regarded suitable for use by teachers working both in special and general education.
