The will (1786) of the cytherian dramatist and medico philosopher Georgios Mormoris (1720-1790)

The will of G. Mormoris verifies the fact that he had been the owner of a big property. More than 40 pieces of real estate are mentioned, as well as other belongings. The same source also informs us that his closest living relatives at that time the will was made, were his first born son Manolos (16 years old) his other son Ioannis (7 years old), his daughter Marie- tousa (10 years old) and his wife Eleni (48 years old). Furthermore, according to other sources (apart from the will) it has been verified that he had an illegitimate son, Christos (12 years old), whose mother was the servant Starnata Moraitissa. The will reveals many aspects of Georgios Mormoris character and personality.
