During the past year (1967 - 68), members of the Archaeology Club of Athens College (Philothei - Psychico) discovered, on and around the hills that form the campus of the school, stone - tools which briefly are as follows: 1. A stone celt (fig. 2 ). 2. Small obsidian and flint tools (blades, scrapers etc.). 3. Wrought fragments of quartz. 4. Three small graters. 5. A fragment of elipsoid quern-stone. 6. A phalanx of a wild horse ( an anvil ). 7. Fragments of a sea-shell. 8. Five arrow heads of obsidian and a broken end of a drill (fig. 1).9. An axe - shaped head of a mace (fig. 3 ), and 10. A few fragments of prehistoric vases. It is very probable that these finds should belong to a Neolithic settlement (around 3000 B.C.).
