In September of 1976 a small collection of antiquities was reorganized and put on display in the mezzanine of the Town Hall.The exhibit includes sculpture and later grave monuments found in the area1 (figs. 1, 2, 3) and two vitrines with sherds of various periods, coins and de-1. Sotiroudis supervised the setting up of the display.dications from the sanctuary of Demeter in Mesembria.The wall space has been used to show photographs, topographical plans and information about the area.On the ground floor of the Town Hall we present an exhibit of photographs showing the monuments of the Evros district and plans and restored drawings of the sanctuary of Samothrace.
